Lookbook | First Day of Winter

This week we had the taste of the chilliness to come. I had to gather all the knits I could find in my wardrobe which to my surprise is not many at all. Must have sold most of them towards the end of last year to clear out some wardrobe space.

This little look I’ve put together is just something that I wear to work now and then. I am super keen on layering things up because the heating is a bit out dated or perhaps shall we say non existent at work and I often find the 14-15 degree inside temperature unbearable.

On the bright side of things, only half a week left in this miserable cold then off we go to Hong Kong and Malaysia.

I’ve been trying to resist the urge to online shop as I’ll be able to shop in Asia anyway. Shall we say it’s been a hard month. I bought 2 bags in the span of 2 days as a consolation for all the effort I have spent on saving. Let me assure you these are necessary buys for work and business purposes..

What I am wearing: Thrifted knit and shirt. Topshop moto jeans. ASOS boots. Pour La Victorie Bag. Dottie Necklace

Scarves, Boots, Bag

Here a few accessories I got from Hongkong. This post will be about how i would style my outfits using each of these accessories.

SLY scarf ( colourful scarf)- This scarf is thin so it would be suitable for any seasons but i would prefer spring and autumn as these seasons are not too hot or too cold. I would wear this scarf with a plain top perhaps black or dark blue coloured so that the bold bright colours of the scarf will stand out.

Cream Knit scarf- Cream colour is one of my favourites! Because it is easy to style and it also goes well with most colours in my closet. I would wear this scarf with a knitted loose lilac or light blue jumper. I wouldn’t choose a black jumper because i would wear black leggings and the only colour that would stand out from the outfit would be the scarf which i personally wouldn’t like. So i prefer the blue and purple colours with this scarf.

Bag- A bag is a bag and really it suits anything! and grey colour is easy to match with any outfits. This bag would turn a dull outfit to a much classier outfit as there is a bit of gold colour in the bag.

Brown boots- I would wear these boots during mid autumn to end of winter because thats when the weather really begins to go wild! and these boots would be perfect to keep my feet nice and cosy. I would also wear a pair of woolly socks so that my feet are definitely kept warm! I would wear these boots with white, taupe, black jeans with a wooly jumper or a top and cardigan plus my knitted cream scarf!

So that is how i would style my outfits using these different accessories and hope this post inspired you in someway to make use of your accessories you have hiding in your closet!!
