Lookbook | First Day of Winter

This week we had the taste of the chilliness to come. I had to gather all the knits I could find in my wardrobe which to my surprise is not many at all. Must have sold most of them towards the end of last year to clear out some wardrobe space.

This little look I’ve put together is just something that I wear to work now and then. I am super keen on layering things up because the heating is a bit out dated or perhaps shall we say non existent at work and I often find the 14-15 degree inside temperature unbearable.

On the bright side of things, only half a week left in this miserable cold then off we go to Hong Kong and Malaysia.

I’ve been trying to resist the urge to online shop as I’ll be able to shop in Asia anyway. Shall we say it’s been a hard month. I bought 2 bags in the span of 2 days as a consolation for all the effort I have spent on saving. Let me assure you these are necessary buys for work and business purposes..

Sorry for the lack of styling posts lately, the biggest exam of my life is drawing near and so I am trying my best to juggle my time around. I have so many review posts to put up, I have bought a few new Chanel products which I will be reviewing later on.

I’ll keep it short and sweet for the next few weeks, will update more later!

A/W: Knit Picker

With the recent blue skies and humid days, it’s hardly believable that autumn is just looming around the corner. Haven’t really been able to enjoy much of the sunshine as I’m always inside during the day and now on weekends I have teaching. Work work work no play.

However, my other half – Nicole has been able to source some amazing knits! They are definitely a must have for the colder season coming up.

One of our favourite colours this season is this gorgeous teal green! It looks amazing paired with bright leggings or jeans. It has also been a hit colour on Nasty Gal & ASOS. If you’re not too keen on the brights, we have some subtle white knit (loose knit and cable). Also looks good paired with bright/printed/pattern leggings.

Tip: I don’t really like wearing wooly knit because it feels really prickly but one way you can go about it is to wear a shirt/blouse underneath – we are really liking the collared knit look. It provides are more sophisticated look and is suitable for work or play (not to mention an extra warm layer underneath too). You can always find ways to jazz up a plain knit.

These will be up for grabs next week!

Dining Out

These are the outfits that my friend and I chose to wear out to dinner and It is currently Mid Summer and the weather has been dreadful as you can see my friend and I are wearing clothing that are leaning towards winter! We chose casual but nice outfits as the restaurant is not formal.

We went to a Thai Restaurant and we ordered Panang curry ( left) and Pad Thai ( right)
