Lookbook | First Day of Winter

This week we had the taste of the chilliness to come. I had to gather all the knits I could find in my wardrobe which to my surprise is not many at all. Must have sold most of them towards the end of last year to clear out some wardrobe space.

This little look I’ve put together is just something that I wear to work now and then. I am super keen on layering things up because the heating is a bit out dated or perhaps shall we say non existent at work and I often find the 14-15 degree inside temperature unbearable.

On the bright side of things, only half a week left in this miserable cold then off we go to Hong Kong and Malaysia.

I’ve been trying to resist the urge to online shop as I’ll be able to shop in Asia anyway. Shall we say it’s been a hard month. I bought 2 bags in the span of 2 days as a consolation for all the effort I have spent on saving. Let me assure you these are necessary buys for work and business purposes..

What I am wearing: Thrifted knit jumper & shirt, ASOS pintuck trousers, Topshop brogues.

Sorry for the lack of styling posts lately, the biggest exam of my life is drawing near and so I am trying my best to juggle my time around. I have so many review posts to put up, I have bought a few new Chanel products which I will be reviewing later on.

I’ll keep it short and sweet for the next few weeks, will update more later!

Vintage Rose

This weekend has been wet and miserable, it’s hard to take pictures when the sky is super over casted and it’s dark out by 3pm.
Nevertheless I had to take pictures of my gorgeous find this week. Bought this vintage sheer floral shirt with gorgeous vintage buttons just this morning Makes a perfect match with my sky blue trousers that I recently received from ASOS. I wasn’t particularly pleased with my 2 most recent purchases from ASOS, they have made 1 mistake too many. First of all, I purchased some knickers shorts in polka dot they sent me black ones. This time round I ordered size 6 pants they gave me what I would have thought was a size 6 until I tried them on and they were clearly too big. They were very sneaky and deliberately cut the sizing tag off and stuck a size 6 label on top of what was clearly a size 8 label. Not quite sure why ASOS should need to trick their customers, I will be very reluctant to make further purchases from them now. I hope you guys haven’t had too many mishaps with them as I have.

On a brighter note, I will be shooting my first fashion shoot next week (will be behind the lens). I am extremely excited about this and have taken a bit of time trying to plan exactly what I would like to do. Fingers crossed for perfect whether days before the shoot and on the day of course.

I will be heading off to Cairns & Brisbane in 2 weeks! Hoping to get some more sun, do a bit more diving and snorkeling and perhaps explore what I think is my home-to-be. I think we have grown out of our shell here, though I will miss my friends and family, it may be time to move on in life more sooner than I thought.

I am doing a MAJOR CLOTHING CLEAR OUT, will be posting numerous items I am trying to get rid of for exceptionally low prices for my followers. Both international and local fans can get their hands on these. So keep in touch!

Have items from Sass & Bid, Ksubi, Wrangler, ASOS etc..

Wearing: Vintage Floral Shirt, ASOS Linen Pintuck Trousers , ASOS Lavender Skinny Belt, Steve Madden Traisie Pumps in Metallic Bronze, Mango Bow Clutch,

Steals of the week: Accessories

I purchased these items 2 weeks ago at a local boutique store. Most of them are handmade or vintage items which are one offs. I am definitely not a huge accessories fan but I fell in love with these pieces and wear them all the time now.

This week has been/will be a big one. I’ve been selling many pieces on Walk in Wardrobe, which is a facebook group (no longer accepting members unfortunately – it has already hit 13k+ people). It’s a place where people exchange, buy and sell items. Quite a good little market place, better than trademe as you don’t have to wait a week for the sale to be over.

Also am doing another hair comp for a salon in Remuera so will be having a change of hair tomorrow and will keep you posted 🙂
